La Ley Con Jose

Todos los sábados al mediodía, José presenta su programa de radio, La Ley Con Jose, con Adriana de Mega 99.3 donde discute temas de inmigración, casos de lesiones personales, casos de criminal, las reformas que podrían suceder bajo el recién electo presidente y otros casos que son relevantes en este momento. También toma tiempo para recibir llamadas telefónicas y responder a cualquier pregunta de los oyentes.

Trump nombró al general John Kelly, un jubilado general de la Infantería de Marina de Estados Unidos que ha estado a cargo de las fuerzas militares en América del Sur y Central. On this week’s show, Jose discussed the future of The Dream Act legislation, churches becoming sanctuaries, the new director of Homeland Security and more. One of the key topics on this episode is the Dream Act. Throughout this election, immigrants and their families have been worried about Donald Trump’s decisions on immigration but it’s the kids from The Dream Act legislation who are extremely anxious to see who would be appointed director of Homeland Security due to immigration being under that branch.

Trump appointed General John Kelly, a retired United States Marine Corps general who has been in charge of military forces in South and Central America. Jose is hoping that since Mr. Kelly has seen and experienced living conditions in these countries, he will understand where The Dreamers are coming from and the reasons why they don’t want to return. Good news is, The Dream Act is supported by both parties and Jose has hope that it’ll be changed to a law, where it would be very difficult for a president to make any changes to it.

One of the questions Jose answered on the show from a listener is: How long does it take to receive news after mailing in a waiver? Jose answered with at least 6 months if the petitioner is in the states.  If the waiver is then approved, one must answered questions online and submit income tax documents. He emphasized that when you receive anything from immigration through email or mail; to have it looked at by an attorney or respond to the letter.
